The ConnectX-5 Ethernet network interface card delivers high-performance and flexible solutions with up to two 40GbE ports, 750ns latency, up to 200 million packets per second (Mpps), and a record of 197 Mpps when running the open-source Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK) over PCIe Gen 4.0. For storage workloads, the ConnectX-5 offers a range of innovative acceleration features, such as hardware-based signature switching (T10-DIF), an embedded PCIe switch, and NVMe over Fabric target offload. The ConnectX-5 adapter card also provides advanced Open vSwitch offload for telecom and cloud data centers, enabling extremely high packet rates and throughput while reducing CPU resource consumption, thereby improving the efficiency of data center infrastructure.
