Used with MTP® backbone cables, these MTP® fiber patch cords enable seamless migration of data center multimode systems to higher data transmission rates. Primarily designed for intra-cabinet connections, they serve as a cost-effective alternative that eliminates time-consuming on-site termination, making them ideal for high-density fiber cabling in space-constrained data centers with stringent cable management requirements.

As MTP-12 is backward-compatible with MTP-8 fiber systems, it is also well-suited for 8-fiber parallel multimode optical module applications, such as connections for 40G QSFP+ SR4/CSR4 and 100G QSFP28 SR4 optical modules.
