When used with backbone patch cords, MTP® fiber patch cords enable seamless migration of data center multimode systems during data rate upgrades. Primarily used for intra-rack connections, these patch cords serve as a cost-effective alternative that eliminates time-consuming on-site termination, making them ideal for high-density fiber cabling in data centers with limited space and stringent cable management requirements.
MTP-12 APC (Female) to MTP-12 APC (Female) OM4 backbone patch cords are designed for connecting InfiniBand and Ethernet multimode dual-port OSFP, single-port OSFP, and QSFP112 optical modules. Typical applications include interconnecting dual-port OSFP switches and connecting to ConnectX-7® network adapters or BlueField-3® Data Processing Units (DPUs) in compute and storage servers.
