When used with backbone patch cords, MTP® fiber patch cords enable seamless migration of data center multimode systems during data rate upgrades. Primarily used for intra-rack connections, these patch cords serve as a cost-effective alternative that eliminates time-consuming on-site termination, making them ideal for high-density fiber cabling in data centers with limited space and stringent cable management requirements.
Designed for simplicity and reliability, MTP PRO allows quick and efficient conversion of connector polarity and pins without removing the housing or handling loose pins. By simply inserting a specially designed MTP PRO tool, the keying configuration can be converted by retracting the exposed key while extracting the hidden key on the opposite side of the connector.
