When used with backbone patch cords, MTP® fiber patch cords enable seamless migration of data center multimode systems during data rate upgrades. Primarily used for intra-rack connections, these patch cords serve as a cost-effective alternative that eliminates time-consuming on-site termination, making them ideal for high-density fiber cabling in data centers with limited space and stringent cable management requirements.

Designed for simplicity and reliability, MTP® PRO allows quick and efficient conversion of connector polarity and pins without removing the housing or handling loose pins. By simply inserting a specially designed MTP® PRO tool, the keying configuration can be converted by retracting the exposed key while extracting the hidden key on the opposite side of the connector.
