MTP fiber patch cords, when used with backbone jumpers, enable seamless migration for multimode systems in data centers during data rate upgrades. These fiber patch cords are primarily used for intra-rack connections. As a cost-effective alternative, they eliminate time-consuming on-site termination, making them ideal for high-density fiber cabling in data centers with limited space and stringent cable management requirements.
OM5 fiber patch cords comply with relevant standards, meet OM3 and OM4 specifications, and add differential mode delay (DMD) requirements to compensate for mode and dispersion effects. In addition, they exhibit additional bandwidth characteristics at 953 nm to support longer-distance transmission using SWDM. OM5 fiber patch cords are particularly suitable for data centers requiring rapid infrastructure deployment while maintaining consistent bandwidth across the entire system.
