MTP® backbone patch cords are equipped with a more robust double-layer jacket, providing superior compression resistance.They are commonly used for long-distance connections between racks or interconnections between different areas within a building.As a cost-effective solution, MTP® fiber patch cords eliminate time-consuming on-site termination, making them ideal for high-density cabling in data centers with limited space and strict cable management requirements.
Since MTP-12 supports MTP-8 fiber systems, it is also highly suitable for 8-fiber parallel multimode optical module applications, such as connections for 40G QSFP+ SR4/CSR4 and 100G QSFP28 SR4 optical modules.
