MTP® backbone patch cords are fitted with a more robust double-layer jacket, offering enhanced compression resistance.They are commonly used for long-distance connections between racks or interconnections between different areas within a building.As a cost-effective solution, MTP® fiber patch cords eliminate time-consuming on-site termination, making them ideal for high-density fiber cabling in data centers with limited space and strict cable management requirements.
Since MTP-12 supports MTP-8 fiber systems, it is also suitable for 8-fiber parallel optical module applications, such as connections for 40G QSFP+ PLR4, 100G QSFP28 PSM4, 400G OSFP DR4/XDR4 and 400G QSFP-DD DR4/XDR4 optical modules.
