MTP® breakout patch cords, when used with backbone patch cords, enable seamless migration of data center multimode systems to higher data transmission rates. Primarily designed for intra-rack connections, these fiber patch cords serve as a cost-effective alternative that eliminates time-consuming on-site termination, making them ideal for high-density fiber cabling in data centers with limited space and stringent cable management requirements.
The US Conec ELiMENT® MDC connector is a very small form factor (VSFF) duplex fiber connector engineered for terminating multimode and singlemode fiber patch cords with diameters up to 2.0mm. It is manufactured using the proven 1.25mm ferrule technology found in industry-standard LC optical connectors. DirectConec™ push-pull guidance technology allows easy access to individual connectors in dense environments. With an MTP® to MDC breakout patch cord, a QSFP-DD, QSFP28, or QSFP+ fiber patch cord can be connected to an MDC panel or patch box.
