The MTP® conversion patch cord is designed to offer greater flexibility for MTP-based cabling systems. Unlike MTP breakout patch cords, MTP conversion patch cords are terminated with MTP connectors at both ends, providing more options for existing 12-fiber cabling systems.
40G/100G MTP conversion patch cords help reduce fiber waste in current 40G transmissions and future 100G transmissions. Compared to separately purchasing and installing conversion boxes, using MTP conversion patch cords is a more cost-effective and lower-loss solution.
