This NVIDIA/Mellanox cable is a 400Gb/s dual-port OSFP to 4×100Gb/s QSFP56 HDR InfiniBand
quad-breakout high-speed cable. The 8-channel dual-port OSFP end features a top-mounted
heatsink, suitable for Quantum-2 and Spectrum-4 switches. The four 100G ports support 2-lane
50G-PAM4 (100GbE/HDR100) and use a flat-top QSFP56 package, designed for ConnectX-6/7
network adapters and BlueField-2/3 with heatsink power solutions on connector racks. The cable
complies with OSFP MSA and IEEE 802.3cd standards. Featuring low latency, the high-speed cable is widely deployed in data centers for short-range
connections between servers, GPU computing systems, switches, and spine-super-spine switches
within racks. It is used to build InfiniBand storage architectures with HDD and flash memory
subsystems. With a simple design and fewer components, the high-speed cable delivers low-cost, low-latency,
and near-zero power consumption high-speed connectivity, enhancing port bandwidth, density,
and configurability in supercomputers and large-scale systems while reducing power requirements.
