The QM9700 switch system based on NVIDIA Quantum-2 delivers 64 NDR 400Gb/s InfiniBand ports in a 1U standard chassis design. A single switch supports an aggregate bidirectional throughput of 51.2 terabits per second (Tb/s) and a signature capacity of over 66.5 billion packets per second (BPPS). Supporting the latest NDR technology, the NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand switch provides high throughput, in-network computing, intelligent acceleration engines, flexibility, and a robust architecture to meet the needs of high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence, and hyperscale cloud infrastructure applications while reducing cost and complexity.
As an ideal rack-mounted InfiniBand solution, the QM9700 NDR InfiniBand fixed-configuration switch supports multiple topologies including Fat Tree, SlimFly, DragonFly+, and multi-dimensional Torus, delivering exceptional flexibility.
NVIDIA Quantum-2 also offers backward compatibility with previous-generation products and broad support for software ecosystems.
The QM9700 NDR InfiniBand switch expands on NVIDIA's networking computing technology by introducing the third-generation NVIDIA SHARP technology, SHARPv3.
SHARPv3 delivers near-limitless scalability for large-scale data aggregation over scalable networks, supporting up to 64 parallel streams and providing a 32x increase in AI acceleration compared to the previous generation.
SHARPv3 significantly improves application performance for complex computations, accelerates data movement across the network, participates in application runtime, and reduces the amount of data required for network transfers.
