The QM9700 switch system based on NVIDIA Quantum-2 delivers 64 NDR 400Gb/s InfiniBand ports in a 1U standard chassis design. A single switch supports an aggregate bidirectional throughput of 51.2 terabits per second (Tb/s) and a signature capacity of over 66.5 billion packets per second (BPPS). Supporting the latest NDR technology, the NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand switch provides high throughput, in-network computing, intelligent acceleration engines, flexibility, and a robust architecture to meet the needs of high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence, and hyperscale cloud infrastructure applications while reducing cost and complexity.

The QM9700 NDR InfiniBand switch expands on NVIDIA's networking computing technology by introducing the third-generation NVIDIA SHARP technology, SHARPv3.
SHARPv3 delivers near-limitless scalability for large-scale data aggregation over scalable networks, supporting up to 64 parallel streams and providing a 32x increase in AI acceleration compared to the previous generation.
SHARPv3 significantly improves application performance for complex computations, accelerates data movement across the network, participates in application runtime, and reduces the amount of data required for network transfers.
Enhanced Management
The managed QM9700 switch features an on-board subnet manager that supports scale up to 2,000 nodes, enabling simple out-of-the-box deployment. Running the NVIDIA MLNX-OS® software package, it provides complete chassis management via multiple interfaces: Command-Line Interface (CLI), web-based user interface (WebUI), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), and JavaScript Object Notation (JSON).
The externally managed QM9790 switch leverages the advanced feature set of NVIDIA UFM® (Unified Fabric Manager), empowering data center operations teams to efficiently configure, monitor, manage, maintain, and perform proactive troubleshooting on modern data center networks—improving utilization and reducing overall operational expenses.
